The Manheim Township Board of Commissioners has adopted later starting times for its meetings.
The pre-meeting, which previously began at 4:30 p.m., now starts at 5:30 p.m. The regular meeting now begins at 6 p.m. The Board holds meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Municipal Building located at 1840 Municipal Dr.
Meeting times were a major issue during the 2017 municipal elections. Commissioners Tom O’Brien and Sam Mecum pushed for later meeting times so people could more easily attend.
“These new times make our meetings more accessible,” O’Brien said. “I hope the change encourages more people to attend and discuss the issues with us.”
